This Policy does not apply to any information we receive from you or from any other sources on your behalf outside of Our Sites or Our Online Services, including in the course of any client-CPA/tax-preparer relationship with us (“Client Relationship”). Should you ultimately formally enter into a Client Relationship with us, our obligations with respect to information that we receive from you during the course of the Client Relationship (“Client Information”) will be governed by strict professional standards of confidentiality and other applicable law. Your written consent will be obtained before we use or disclose any of your Client Information for any purpose other than in providing services to you in the context of the Client Relationship (“Client Services”) or other than as required or permitted by law. Permitted disclosures include providing Client Information to our employees and employees of our affiliated companies and, in limited circumstances, to unrelated third parties, in each case to the extent those employees or third parties require your Client Information to assist us in providing Client Services to you. The confidential nature of the shared Client Information is emphasized in all circumstances. We retain records relating to the Client Services we provide you so that we may better assist your needs and to comply with professional guidelines and requirements. To protect your Client Information, we maintain electronic, physical, and procedural safeguards in compliance with CPA professional standards and as required by applicable law.

When you sign up to become a user of Our Sites, or you register for certain of Our Online Services, however, you will be asked to provide us with certain personal information, which may include (but not be limited to) your first name, last name, email address, and mailing address. In this Policy, we refer to this information as “Personal Information.”
If you register, visit, or sign in to Our Sites or Our Online Services through Google, Facebook, Facebook Connect, LinkedIn, Twitter, or another social media website, you are authorizing us to collect, store, and use, in accordance with this Policy, any and all information that you agreed that Google, Inc. or the social media website would provide to us through that party’s or website’s application programming interface (“API”). Such information, which is also Personal Information under this Policy, may include, without limitation, your first and last name, username, profile picture, headline, unique identifier and access token, and email address. We do not receive or store your passwords for Google or your social media accounts.
Like most websites, we use automatic data collection technology when you visit Our Sites to record information that identifies your computer, to track your use of Our Sites, and to collect certain basic information about you and your surfing habits. We collect this Usage Information by using cookies and pixel tags (also called web beacons or clear gifs). Cookies are small packets of data that a website stores on your computer’s hard drive so that your computer will “remember” information about your visit. Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of website users. You can reject cookies by following the directions provided in your Internet provider’s “help” file. If you reject cookies, you may still visit Our Sites, but may not be able to use some areas of Our Sites and/or Our Online Services.
We do not collect Personal Information in this way, but if you’ve provided us with Personal Information, we may associate that information with the information that is collected automatically. Automatic data collection may be performed on our behalf by our services providers.
